How Does Ultherapy® Skin Tightening Work?
At the start of your treatment, Dr. Behr will cleanse your skin and apply an ultrasound gel to the treatment area. Then, the Ultherapy® handpiece will be placed directly on the skin where the gel was applied to deliver low-level focused heat. Although the heat is low-level, there may be mild discomfort during treatment. The entire tightening procedure for the face and neck takes about 60-90 minutes, while a partial face or brow treatment usually takes about 30 minutes.
What Results Can I Expect?
Following your treatment, you may notice some tightening effects immediately, but the ultimate lifting takes place over a 3-6 month period. It takes a little time for the collagen to be rejuvenated and supplemented with new, stronger collagen created by the ultrasound energy.
