LLS
In 2023, Dr. Behr was given the opportunity to run for Visionary of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Over the course of three months she raised over 300,000 dollars to the cause through several in-office and in person events.
This cause was incredibly important to Dr. Behr as she lost her childhood best friend, Kim to Leukemia. The treatment that Kim received at UCLA inspired Dr. Behr to go to medical school. As a dermatologist she was able to treat a young patient who had several skin conditions and skin cancers due to his Leukemia medication. Due to these life experiences this cause was near and dear to Dr. Behr’s heart and she spent her 60th birthday campaigning and bringing awareness to LLS.

Poverello House
The Poverello House in Fresno, CA works to enrich the lives and spirits of all who pass their way by providing meals, social services, and temporary shelter. They work with partnering agencies to better assist those in need.

New Beginnings Radiation Mark Removal Program
Over 120 board certified ASLMS members have volunteered to remove radiation marks (tattoos) free of charge so that they can have the new beginning that they deserve.
This free service is open to cancer patients and is not limited to breast cancer or lymphoma survivors. The program is offered year-round in our office as Dr. Behr is one of the board certified doctors that is offering this treatment. Call our office or click here to receive more information.
New Beginnings Tattoo Removal Program
New Beginnings is a branding tattoo removal program, a national philanthropic campaign offering free branding tattoo removal for survivors of sex trafficking.
This pro bono service is open to all survivors of sex trafficking with branding tattoos. Dr. Behr has teamed up with this service through the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery as one of the providers who offers this treatment. Call our office or click here to receive more information.
Project Beauty Share
Project Beauty Share was founded in 2010 by Julie Farley, a professional makeup artist and business owner. Julie desired to give back to the community and help women in need.
She began Project Beauty Share, an organization that donates personal hygiene, cosmetics and beauty products to non-profit organizations who serve women and families in need. Behr Laser and Skin Care Center participates in this cause and donates our inventory. Click here to learn more.
