The ellacor® System with Micro-Coring™ uses needles that move across the treatment area, removing micro-cores of tissue as it goes. The device can treat a 10 mm square area in less then three seconds, which means the entire treatment is typically finished in less than 30 minutes. There is no heat applied during treatment so there is no risk of unintended thermal injury. After the treatment is completed, the body’s natural healing response goes into effect as the skin quickly realigns to close the cores. This results in improved skin architecture and natural results without the evidence of scarring.
What Results Can I Expect?
An ellacor® treatment typically takes about 30 minutes or less. In the clinical trial, most patients underwent a series of three treatments spaces approximately 30 days apart. During the treatment you will be numb, and most patients reported that the pain during procedure as less than 2 on a scale of 0-10. There is little to no downtime, most patients only experience intense redness for around 3 days following treatment. After the skin heals and the cores close you will notice visibly firmer, tighter skin.
