How Does SKINVIVE™ Work?
SKINVIVE™ is the first hyaluronic-acid (HA) treatment focused on increasing hydration to improve skin texture along the cheeks. HA occurs naturally in your skin to maintain hydration and volume. What to Expect During Your SKINVIVE™ Treatment

During your treatment, the provider will perform multiple microdroplet injections. The product will be injected into small amounts just below the skin’s surface on both cheeks. Plus, lidocaine is an ingredient in SKINVIVE™ to help alleviate any discomfort.
Is SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® a Filler?
SKINVIVE™ does contain hyaluronic acid which is a typical ingredient in a lot of fillers. However, SKINVIVE™ is not a filler but rather a skin booster or injectable moisturizer. Its purpose is to improve skin texture and hydration, while fillers are used to add volume or contour the face. SKINVIVE™ is also injected using a different technique than traditional fillers, depositing microdroplets of HA just beneath the skin’s surface.
How Long Will Results Last?
After receiving SKINVIVE™ injections you might experience slight bruising, swelling, redness, and irritation at the injection site. These side effects should go away within one to two weeks. Results are visible after about 30 days and last for up to six months.
